Films Films Films

"The Forty Year Old Virgin" - I have been wanting to see this film for some time. I was not disappointed. Steve Carrell is very funny. The premise is in the title and yet this movie deals with the idea of virginity with a marginal amount of sensitivity. Yes, it is crass but is also laugh out loud, quote lines from the movie imediately funny. A nice touch was the 1970s Sex Education film bonus. If you are in the mood to laugh and of course shake your head, this movie is quite delightful.

"Rumor Has it" - this movie was entertaining. Shirley McClaine was very funny. I think Jennifer Aniston is kind of like Helen Hunt, you never really forget the actress. Although, one note on Helen Hunt, she was great in Pay It Forward - although she still was Helen Hunt just a slightly trashier and drunk Helen Hunt but Helen Hunt nonetheless. Back to the movie, all the players were good. The movie did not have much substance, a romantic comedy, rather short only an hour and a half. There is something to the idea of ones family secret being made into a film. But I am not sure if one sould pay money to see this, maybe just catch it on tv.
