"Oh, crap."

Hellboy Animated: Sword of Storms - including the vocal talents of Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, and Peri Galpin, the film is another foray into the world of Hellboy.

Hellboy is asked to look into the disappearance of a well known professor. The man's last known location is Japan; where he had recently discovered an ancient scroll that released a demon which in turn possessed the professor. Hellboy travels to Japan and is transported into a parallel world by the sword of storms - a sword that houses two demons trying to escape their prison and end the world of men. In order to leave the parallel world, Hellboy must successfully defeat a series of demons and monsters set in his path. Liz and Abe are sent to Japan once it is discovered that Hellboy has also disappeared and they must face demons that have been released by the possesed professor. Liz is fighting inner demons as she worries about her ability to control her powers.

I really enjoyed this film. It delves into Japanese folklore and mythos. The animation is striking and it is a real treat to have the continuity of voices from the film. If you are a fan of Hellboy, this is not to be missed. Highly entertaining with the right amounts of humor and action.
