Keri Russell is a waitress unhappily married to a controlling man. She is good at her job and excellent at baking pies. She discovers that she is pregnant and must decide whether to keep the child father by a man she hates or not keep it and some how free herself from the marriage and life she is currently in. She believes that if she can enter a pie baking contest she'll win and have enough money to escape. Her main problems are her abusive husband and growing belly.

This film was very good. It made me want to bake a pie. There are very few surprises in this film, the way it was filmed I found quite enjoyable. The development of Kerri Russell's character was well written and to me believable. The minor characters that are assembled in the diner and her life strike the right balance and air to this film. Excellent film, watch and enjoy this indi gem.
