"Liberate your Libia! Claim your clitoris!"

The Oh in Ohio - Parker Posey is a top notch marketing executive who brings business to Cleveland, Ohio and has been married to Paul Rudd a high school biology teacher for 10 years. Paul Rudd used to be at the top but having been married to Parker for 10 years and unable to give her an orgasm has taken its toll. His teaching is suffering and he has gained weight. While Parker is rising, she is made V.P., and is seemingly happy.

She has never had an orgasm and has never masturbated. She has a sexual disfunction. She and her husband attend couple's therapy where the therapist recommends that they incorporate a vibrator into their sex life. They are appalled. Later Parker goes to a sex shop and purchases a "starter kit" without her husband's knowledge. Paul meanwhile is talked around to use of the vibrator by his coworker, a coach, who confides that he and his wife use one but Paul is instructed to not let his wife use it alone - ever! Parker uses it, alone, and achieves an orgasm.

I thought this movie was adorable! It was a comedic cross between Election and American Beauty - because yes Paul ends up in a relationship with one of his high school students. Parker Posey was a DE-light! Paul Rudd was also good. It had very minimal inde elements which made me happy. And while parts were rather predictable I enjoyed this movie much to the derision of certain ahem ahem people. Liza Minnelli was in this SO funny as was Danny DeVito a somewhat surprising love interest but funny. Overall I would say if you thought Election had promise but was somewhat disappointed because it was a tad dark you may like this film.
