"That's just a phase, you'll get over it."

Land of Women - Olympia Dukakis, Meg Ryan, Kristen Stewart, and Adam Brody. Slightly star studded - I do have to say I do love Adam Brody.

Carter (Adam Brody) is a writer who is dumped by his now famous actress girlfriend. His mother informs him that his grandmother is not doing well. Carter volunteers to move from LA to stay with his grandmother in the mid-west. Next door lives Sarah Hardwicke (Meg Ryan) raising her two daughters. Sarah befriends Carter and seeks him as a friend for her oldest moody daughter. Carter is surrounded by women: his doddering grandmother, Sarah who is lonely and suffering from cancer, and Sarah's two daughters. Carter has story in him that has been waiting to be written for 10 years.

This movie had elements of humor and drama, however, the movie was not able to choose to blend both well or between the two. The pace of this movie was off. I wanted to like it, I do adore Adam Brody, but even my love for him did not make this movie any better. It had elements that were likable but the pace could not be fixed. Maybe catch this on tv, if nothing else catches your fancy and you love Adam Brody.

I am lame

So I will write, in fact some belated posts will appear. I got a job. It takes time away from both movies and postings but I have some posts to finish up, some posts to remember, and others to forget. So forgive me. I will try to do better.
