"He doesn't mind."
Sherlock Holmes - Robert Downey Junior, Jude Law, Rachel McAdams.
Sherlock Holmes tracks down a lord with ties to the dark arts. Lord Blackwood is a serial killer with a devoted following. Holmes between cases is a mess and is at a loss that Watson would want to abandon bachelorhood for marital bliss and employs several means to impede the pending nuptials. Although, Lord Blackwood is caught, tried and hung, he manages to rise from the dead. Holmes is on the case pulling a reluctant Watson after him.
I enjoyed this film, but I am a fan of Guy Ritchie. His movies blend violence and humor. Holmes is detestable, lovable, messy, and human. And yet he is still observant and tosses out hints along the way for those movie goers who also possess keen eyesight. This telling is more adventure than mystery and yet it still has the delightful wrap up of the whodunit resolution. See it in the theater because it is a fun escape, rent it if you are too busy living.
